Civic 2006 - problem with master key and valet key
Hi, I am new in the site, I have a serious problem, so I will try to explain it the easier way.
I own a Honda Civic 2006 (Salvage Title) and 1 valet key (VK), the one that doesn't open the trunk. Last Thursday (Feb 2) I went to Honda Authorized dealer to buy a new Master Key(MK), it cost me 204 dlls (cut and programming). The MK that they give me, doesn't open the trunk, neither the drivers door, so it only starts the car, and if I want to open the car I have to push the button on the MK, besides, since I received the MK, now my VK doesn't open the door either :S. Now I have a 1 x MK and 1 x VK, none of them opens the drivers door if inserts.
The people of HONDA says that the MK is well made, and was only programmed to starts the car, not to open the door, and insist that the door cylinder and ignition cylinder are different, so the MK only starts the car. How in the hell I get to Honda Authorized dealer with my VK, If they says that the ignition and door have different cylinders?, my VK used to open the door and starts the car, How is possible that after they give me the MK, magically my VK stopped working with the door? They insist that the car is Salvage Title, so its possible that the door cylinder was changed, but I said that the car was damaged from the front, the doors AND trunk are original, still have the serial number in it, the trunk doesnt open with the MK either, They changed the trunk cylinder too??
The solution they offer me is to "repair" the door cylinder and charges me the job, so I refuse to pay a dime, so they damage my door cylinder, I paid for a fully working MK, that its a key that opens door and trunk, and starts the car, besides, my VK should still working.
What I think is that they dont want to admit that they made a bad key, and damage the door cylinder with it.
What should I do? Who is right?
thanks in advance, and sorry for my English
