This harness in question is also obd2A but going into obd2B civic, any difference on this too?

 

Auto and manual harnesses are different, OBD2A and OBD2B harnesses are also different, and not compatible.

 

That's what I thought. The case is I bought a 99 ek hatch DX not knowing it was fitted with a D15B7, from a dealer so now I got the dealer to pay for a motor I found at the salvage yard. The motor I found is pulled from a 98 civic auto D16y7. I only bought the motor. Still needs an alternator/harness.

Is there a way to identify the harness in my car now? I think it's the original harness and dizzy from the car but with a d15b7 block/head, idk. All my obd2 stuff is in check and I scanned the car for a bad crank sensor. I'm praying that I can just put the y7 in and at worst get an obd2A harness. TIPS???

 

The harness in the car is probably original. A D15B7 harness wont work in the chassis, it's setup up completely different in terms of how it it plugs into the rest of the car.
