I was wondering if anybody here might know about the sale of a 2000 ITR that was sold by Copart in October 2011. I kept in touch with the guy that bought it from me, then he got stationed up in Anchorage. Long story short, was broken into, and stripped. Copart sold it, I'd like to try and find out to whom? Any help would be great. Thanks people. Down the rabbit hole we go!!!!

Update, I found the car and have been in contact with the current owner. I'm torn, the car is far away, but the heart wants what, what the heart wants. I've asked for a selling price, but can't get a number from him. So here's the question. What would you pay for it? Here are the details:

2000 ITR Hi miles on chassis misc. parts
B20 Vtec
Bought from Copart.

current owner had to replaced stripped interior with black JDM Reacros, and ITR rear seats. He also had to replaced the ECU, he's running a Chpied P28 with Skunk2 program.

To the best of my knowledge he says it has a clean title.

 

What ever its worth to u really. he doesnt wanna sell it and you really want it that means high price.



If i didnt want to sell my type r and some one wanted it.. it would take alot for me to sell it.

Hard to believe it was a theft recovery and sold on copart and still retains a clear title.

That thing wasn't even that stripped. When I hear the word STRIPPED I thinking only shell on the floor not one single part left on the car. Good luck man

 

According to the website that car is salvage and comes with a bill of sale as its only for parts type of car... So I am lost as you state he says it has a clean title???

 

I'm guessing due to the fact that the ECU was stolen, the Insurance co. just totaled it out. Maybe the guy who bought it has "friends" and had the title rebuilt. I don't have the whole story. I'm going to send the guy an offer and see what he says. Still have to figure out the logistics of it all..

 

Alot more then just the ecu was stolen according to the pictures. Insurance will total an itr if the interior is stolen.
