12' Pilot issue!!
Has anyone had a starter issue with there Pilot?? It is brand new and the starter is hanging after the car is running. It only does it when it is cold...or cooled off. Not back to back startings. It is like the solinode(?) is sticking. I just traded my 10' Pilot in and never and issue. I am taking it back to the dealer. Thanks!!
Quite a few threads on this over on the Piloteers.org forum, most of them with the 2010-2011 low mileage Pilots. Supposedly Honda had fixed this issue for the 2012 model, but then there were still some reports of it occurring. The concensus is that it's a fuel/spark issue, but since there's no code thrown then Honda's reply is that there's nothing wrong.
The thing that I heard was that the problem would go away (or get a lot less frequent) when you put more miles onto the car. Most of the reports I saw were from people with less than 5000 miles on their cars.
I haven't seen or read any similar issues from people who had more miles (like 10k or a lot more than that). Unless it's really causing an issue with the drivability of the car, I say just keep driving it and putting miles onto the car to break it in, and see where the issue progesses.... whether it gets better, same, or worse over time.

Ok, this is going to sound like a rediculous question: is the A/T dip stick pushed all the way in? Our shop has seen a few starters act up because the dip sticks aren't in and the fluid vapor seeps into the starter directly behind the top of the tube.
