HIDs are one of the worst inventions ever. If you can "see better" with them, then you need your eyes checked. The light is in fact disbursed more, thus diminishing visible distance. Unless you drive with peripheral vision only, the benefits are negated by the fact that it makes you look like a clown and causes every trucker to think about running you over...
HIDs are like body kits and stick-on hood scoops - just a new pointless FAD.
