98 Civic LX:Wheel offset and Spacers Question
I drive a 1998 honda civic lx and not to long ago i bought some brand new 14inch tires and while the people were putting them on they noticed one of my steelies were bent. at the time i didn't have the money for new wheels but now i do. I like the look of the old school jdm watanabes but can't find any that are 14inch and 4x100 so i found these Konig rewinds that are pretty similar

there bolt pattern is different so i would need a spacer/converter and i found a good one on ebay with plenty of good reviews. My main question is that with the wheels and spacers the offset would be 40.75mm so im wondering what the stock offset on steelies are to compare and see if the Rewinds would add more wear and tear on the wheel bearings and such.
Thanks in advance

personally I wouldnt use an adapter just to fit a wheel. Yes having a spacer will change the suspension characteristics; slightly wider turn radius, more stress on bearings, lowering the spring rate slightly, Also 14 wheels and tires are pretty small, I would go 15 to get a much better tire selection and better performance.
Yeah i wish I would've waited and got 15's but they already had 2 of the 4 wheels on when they noticed the 3rd was bent and the tires were paid for at that point so nothing i could do. I still would like to know what the stock offset is on the steelies because wouldn't it cause the same stress as the wheels+spacers if just the steelies were the same or similar offset?
RS Watanabe's are still produced today. You can pick them up from 10" tall to 17" tall.
See here: http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/index2.htm
But, you will be spending a fair amount of money for them.
As for your stock steel wheels, they are 14x5 +45. There is a massive difference between your factory wheels and those, both width and offset.
