Hi! I have a 1998 Civic LX. So my ignition switch got screwed (apparently a common problem in 98 Civics I heard) I replaced the ignition switch but the lock control got fried along with it (the blue box had melted on one of the sides).
So the turquoise/blue box said "Honda ABS Door Lock Control". My brother got me another module but this one says "CONTL (ASSY) INTERLOCK". This blue box looks about the same as the other one except that its darker in color. I'm assuming they are completely different but maybe not.
I'm wondering if this other module would work if I install it. Maybe it came out of a Del Sol or a 96/97 Civic and for that reason is different but may essentially be the same thing.
Anyone else has experienice with the power door lock control units? I'm quite lost here!

the door lock module should be in the drivers door on 96-98 civic and in the lower drivers side kick panel in 99-00 . so the interlock module is located in the steering column are there any number's on it ?
