Default 200 accord F23A4-A1 swap

Have been fixing problem after prob with my accords ulev vtecF23A4) engine. Had burnt valves, vtec malfunctions and now have major oil leak in the bottom end somwhere. Ive found a engine at a salvage yard with half the miles as mine that is the standard vtec (F23A1). Is the wiring and computer compatable or will i have to swap ecu as well?

Not completely sure, but I believe one difference between the 2 is that the a4 has egr,and the a1 does not. Not a whole lot different between the motors but if I am correct about the egr, Id say the ecu would need swapping as well, otherwise the a4 ecu would be looking for the egr that isnt plugged in and probably produce a CEL.
Mine has the f23a4, but when I swapped it I put in a newer f23a4, so I cant say from experience.
