Did you try jacking up the car and putting it on jackstands then put a jack under one of the front lower control arms to "load up" the suspension then check again for wheel play at 3 and 9 o'clock?

I did this on my coilover suspension and the play went away. This leads me to believe the suspension needs to be loaded to accurately check for play.

Did you ask BuddyClub about it?
