Default 1999 Prelude immobilizer question

I searched but never found a definate answer, also I know this is a touchy topic so if you have the answer but dont wanna get flammed for saying public please PM me...

I bought a 99 Lude Cheap cuz the kid lost the chipped key, well my question is could i just get a OBD2b - obd1 jumper and rock and roll or is there some reason this wouldnt work

if not WTF do i do? other than the stealership route?

Most locksmiths now have the means to come out and make you a chipped key. Still cost $100+ though.

the obd1 ecu trick will not work... unless you bypass it the immobilizer. (but then you still need a key made to turn the ignition lock)
you can also go to the dealership and have them cut you a key and immobilier cut from your vin..
