Icon2 96-98 and 99-00 CTR Cluster differs how???

Ok, I'm getting close to finishing my EK build and I'm lil confused on this subject. What are the defferences in the two climate controls and is it not possible to take the oem climate control out of my 97 dash and just pop the 99-00 CTR climate control in its place. I am deleting the heater box/Ac stuff behind so that compatability isn't an issue. Thanks for dropping a lil knowledge!!!

no, that doesnt help. basically...possible to bolt 99-00 ctr climate control into 96-98 dash.

if you dont want to use any of the controls, yes you can just bolt it in.

Just the climate control? No. You have to do the whole swap.

How else are you going to get the 99 into the 96 without doing that swap? If you're deleting heat and A/C then what are you even asking for? Swap the bezels then but if you've deleted all this essential stuff then what is the purpose?

I don't think you are being specific enough in what you're asking.

OK not worried about hooking up heat/ac controls. Just wanting to remove the stock oem 97 climate control and install 99-00 ctr climate control. Will there be any issues to simply remove mine and install the newer ctr one. Couple people have told me the 96-98 climate control bolts in differently then the 99-00 ones??? Hope thats specific enough for you guys
