Default Need help on TIRE size to buy.(width)

I'm picking up a set of 15 or 16x8 +38 wheels for my EK. My question is what is a good width size for a tire on a wheel thats 8" wide? My guess is 225? I do want a lil stretch but not insane stance. I'm looking at 225/45/15 or 16 right now.

225/45/15: a bit undersized for the chassis
225/50/15: narrowest tire you can safely fit on 15x8 wheels and your chassis
225/45/16: a bit oversized for the chassis

To be honest, you're still going to need to do a fair bit of fender/quarter panel rolling to get them to fit.
