Passengers seat to drivers seat swap
Well I'm actually doing the seat swap now. And I seen it was on and off about if the seats are actually faced towards the center of the car. Well they are, the foams are.
The two seats are not symmetrical. There is a slight offset. Even despite the levers being on the opposite side. Works in a pinch, but not something I'd want to get used to permanently.
Yeah I'm not. I'm gonna see if I can cut the 2 sides on the ps and put them on the drivers foam. So for anyone who plans to do this, there's a lot more work that needs to be done other than the seat pan and rails
when i bought my rex it had a 88 pass seat on the driver side. wasn't too bad, didn't bolt up right.
Ive done this and had success at it.. My personal motto is, "know what you do and do what you know".. I know scat about upholestry compared to a professional. So I swapped the bottom pans myself and was somewhat simple but the fitment is a bit off and has to be compensated with whatever you wanna come up with. for the back I went to an upholestry shop and let those guys deal with the hog rings... Cost me $48 and took one day.. Not a bad price for a mint and comfy driver seat.
The back is fine and doesn't seem to be different. I only saw difference in the bottom half of the seat. I'm OCD about attention to detail. So when I noticed the difference I couldnt do. It has to be perfect to me.
