MY PROBLEM"
well it started off by me driving in the city roads bout 25 mph, an the car all of sudden sputters an dies out like i have no gas... then 5 minutes later it started up so i drove it off to a near by parking lot an turned it off an it started right up so i drove it home about ten min away..
NEXT MORNING
i woke up and started my civic an fuel pump wasnt coming on...
i bought new main relay an pump... installed it all an the car still wouldnt start. pump wont come on but main relay is clicking as its supposed to;.
then automatically it started up an ran for like 2 minutes an it dies out like i have no gas...

now im getting spark also, andnow the pump comes on an car wont start.. fuel is good pressure is good.. but wont start at all.. it cranks but wont start.

wat can it be...
crank position sensor.
short in wires or wat let me know...

 

Is spark at all four plugs bright white?

Any CEL codes?

 

yeah sparks an no cel lights..

check ur timing and all ur connection with the ground wires and for bare wires

 

just a suggestion... buy a chilton's book first... check/replace your fuel filter, see if your fuel pressure regulator is working like it should... check your coil if all those things don't work check ur timing and timing belt... my brothers del slo timing belt went bad, but before it did, it skipped a tooth and ran like crap for like 10 minutes then he parked it and could not get it to run again, he took the valve cover off and discovered that his timing belt had broken... Good luck man let me know if that helped or what you figure out.

imma work on it today... but i have put in a new pump, fuel filter, and im installing a new fuel pressure regulator also.. an after all that imma check my timing also....

but its weird yesterday when the pump kicks on it starts everytime but dies in bout 2-5 minutes, but now it only kicks on sometimes an it wont even start now

my car been driving fine never had any problems with it for years,
about last month. my car didnt start either till like 10 min of turning off an on the key so the pump will come back on... after that day its been fine ever since...

an the day before this all happened, its been idling very low at stops...

 

it can still spark and your spark is your issue. if it's a blue color it's typically not strong enough. look for a bright white

 

k ill check for that now

 

Check the main fuel relay as well.

 

main relay is good..its clicking an i used a different working one out my other car an its still no go

 

alright.. so i put in my other dizzy complete wit wires and all an it fired up but rough for bout 30 seconds an now it ran for bout 2-3 minutes an stalled out again..
an few pump took bout 10-20 on/off key to come back on... and it seems to turn on quicker when i move wires around under my dash where all my alarm wires are...
can it be the alarm triggering it to not get gas or something

i just put another main relay in now an its been running for bout 10 minutes now an seem to be fine... but well see

 

Borrow somebody's ECU and try that.

 

Check for vapor locking take ue fuel cap off and see if it starts one of my del sols did that it quit venting and vapor locked would run for a few then act like it ran outta gas

You have Find out if it has a vent tube usually from a Haynes repair every doit your self should have one it's your car bible and then once you find it you either replace it or clear it out you know it's fuel locking if you remove the fill cap and it runs fine if you dont want to go thru the trouble of fixing it you can always get a cap that vents

 

I've been told the return line for the fuel injection could be clogged which can cause vapor lock but not a hundred percent on that will have to do some more home work

 

I think I'm wrong about vent tube some one was telling me they have one but the more I think and read about it it's a pressurized system so a vent tube would release pressure so more thAn likely its a block in the system

 

Ok now got some facts sorry for the confusion there is a one way valve in your fuel tank if that clogs or goes bad your fuel system can't vent and the pressure in your tank becomes equal and the pump won't pump fuel and your car will act Like it's running out of gas

 

Just tuning in... Did u check the vapor lock thing... I totally forgot bout that... I'm curious to see what happens so please keep us posted man.

 

well... havent done anything with vapor lock, but my car been driving good but last night it died on my leaving my drive way.... an the other day when i was at a store, my car wouldnt start back up... fuel pump wasnt coming on.. but i changes my main relay fuel pump fuel filter an more...

the thing is, when the car dies i learned that when i pull the fuel fues under the dash an put it back in, the pump comes on right away an drives fine all day...

i dont know wats wrong with it... can it be the alarm system i have in it, cuz thats not working now either..
it been working for a long time but now it stopped working like my car did lol

yes they are all white an good spark....so today i try to start it an it wouldnt start then i took the fuel pump fues out again and it started up but dies in bout 2 seconds like it out of gas... an now fuel pump wont turn back on..

10 imn later after taking battery off an reseting it.. then 1 minute later pump came on an started but died again right away...
then pump came on again after i tried it again an it started up fine an its sitting outside right now running with no problem for bout 15 minutes now...
