vis cf trunk on 98 Dx HB/ latch problem
i search the forum couldnt find any info about this.
i recently traded my stock trunk for a vis cf hatch with the cf duckbill and everything bolted right up except the latch part.. so what do i need to do to make the latch to close?
i have the 96 cx trunk latch and the bottom latch which dont bolt right up.. and also have the trunk release cable which is going to be in when i fix the latch problem...
if anyone have done this can you give me what did you do to make it shut?

96-97 has one type of latch, and 98,99,00 have a different one. So, if your car is 96 but the trunk is for 98, it's not going to work. My friend ended up modifying the 98 VIS CF trunk drastically and using washers to get to close. I wen't through the same process when I bought a replacement trunk. However, I simply changed ALL the locking mechanism on my 97, to 98-00 and it worked fine.
My car is a 98 dx and I'm trying to put the
96 vis cf hatch on..
I took the whole latch system for it.
Just the bottom latch don't fit.. Seem like I have to
Cut part of the frame and extend the hitch?

I'm not sure but the guy I traded had a 96 cx..
It say 96 civic on the cf trunk also..
So what I did was cut the frame so the bottom latch would
Fit, because it was longer from side to side n only one
Screw is bolted....
Trunk closes for now, so everytime I open the trunk I have to
go to the back from inside to open it lol..
Installing the release cable tomorrow.
For the wiring the liscene plate clip won't plug up so I guess
I have to cut and wire it up n extend couple wires
