how to install skunk2 vtec solenoid cover??
i thought this would be a easy part to just install and be done with it, i was wrong.. i took off stock vtec solenoid and the cover looks likes it part of the housing permanently.. do i need the skunk2 vtec solenoid too?? has anybody installed this before?? any help would be great.. i checked the skunk2 website and there wasnt any information on the cover.. but it said it fits all b series 92-00.. im lost
i did a archived search and seen a few pics of it installed and it looked like it was still using the stock housing so im not sure.. im going to call skunk2 tomorrow but if anybody has any input it would be nice.. i even checked the part number and it matches the one on the skunk2 website..
i have an obd2 gsr that was converted to obd1.. so is the vtec solenoid obd1 or obd2?? either way the skunk2 cover is too small.. i guess i got to get a bigger one.. thanks bro
How much bigger is it? Mine is still loose on the vtec solenoid and it will spin and everything. But at first they sent me the obd0 one and it was WAY to big. So you should have the right one. It prob just doeant fit like you thought it would, I thought the same thing

That's a slipon cover...may take some man handling but should slide right on but it is skunk2 and I've never personally used but I have seen friends use their stuff and sometimes it just doesn't work perfectly but with aftermarket it's expected
not this one.. its literally the same size as the stock cover.. so itd be like trying to fit one cup over another cup thats exactly the same size.. theres no man handling this i thought of that too and i even tried a little bit..
well either way thanks for the help fellas.. ima just call skunk2 tomorrow and talk to them about it.. i dont want to damage it because then thatll ruin any chances of getting a replacement cover..theres no way its getting put on even by man handling all that would happen is id crack it or something.. so ima see what i can do or just save it for my h2b setup and hopefully it fits that.. thanks again.
naw man ima low key person. i dont know anybody with honda b series swaps.. and im gonna be buying a h22 longblock next month ill just try on that..
