its a clean title ITR. it happens to be a friend of my gf. His name is nick. Most of the parts went into his CRX after the accident, but it wasnt reported to insurance. The shell is pretty much useless unless you have a frame puller because the front end took the impact and is most likely tweaked, and it doesnt even have the front clip anymore (was cut)
here is the cl link for those wanting to see the shell http://austin.craigslist.org/pts/2783596895.html ... I also hate to see this get scrapped but by the sounds of this guy he is pretty dead set on that.. I personally think it is a dumb idea because the shell being as stripped as the photo shows he may see 100$ in scrap metal better off giving it to one of us that would actually rebuild it. If I was closer I would just buy to leave sit until I get around to it lol but austin texas is a hike and it doesn't look like its rollable to get it shipped good luck someone please keep this away from the scrap yard
he said his name was marcus ? only bad part about the car is he sold the dash so it is completely illegal to sell the car to any one for the fact of it missing the dash vin also. i asked the tax commission in okc the head of the head when it comes to vins and car title issues they told me if i was to get the car and wanted to take the vins off it i would have to have all the vins to even be able to do this then go to the ohp to get a vin assessment and then it would prolly get a rebuilt title and if i didn't have the vin i wouldn'd be able to do anything it and it would have to get a oklahoma vin which would defeat the damn purpose of even getting it so to answer all the spectators out there wanting this, its almost useless unless he finds the dash vin unless it was for a full out drag car where you would fab up piping for the front end
^ This may vary by state. Being in OK you yourself may be SOL on this caR. In NY, there is no VIN verification of a clean titled car when registering it for the first time. We do have a special inspection for branded titled cars to verify the car wasn't rebuilt with stolen parts. So if a piece of the car is supposed to have a VIN tag, then the original must be there or a replacement part (new or used) with a receipt/bill of sale.
Any potential buyer should verify their own registration requirements.

i will have to disagree to a point they cant use old numbers to make a new vin number and it s just like i said a whole different vin would defeat the purpose but besides the fact there may be different rules yes per state but we have worked a deal already and he has all i need now so as soon as i go get it i will post pics i do plan n rebuilding it lol
oh well i apologize for the ignorance or mis knowledge can any one point me to where i can figure what production number it is ? i have the vin number but do not wanna post it
Based on the VIN reference above, this is 00-1428. Sad to see heR fugged up like that...
