Default Some wierd noise when playing Mp3 files

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before with there cd player that can play mp3 encoded cd's. I recently got a JVC SX-980 and everything works excellent. All normal cd's play fine and theres no little pop noise. But when I play a disc with mp3 files on it it makes a wierd pop noise from the back of the car. Not the front just the back. Wierd. I dont know if it was the burning program f-ing up or what. Or maybe my amp is up to high? Can anyone please help.

hmmm, i've never heard that before, try burning a mp3 cd over a freinds house on a different proggy and see if that does the trick, it could also be your cdr drive, do you hear a ticking noise? if so that is the cdr.

It may be the quality of the MP3s. What's the bitrate of the MP3s you're burning?

Most of mine range from 128kps to 192kps and they play fine on my Alipine 7998.

Yes its a little ticking noise. Also all of my mp3's are 128 and 192 bit rate. All the other bit rates lower sound like crap so I never download them. Im gonna check to see if my friends burner does it. Thanks for your help.

You can listen to the MP3 files on your computer to see if it's actually in the file (probably is). If you hear it there, doesn't matter how you burn the CD, it'll still be there.

If it's really important to you, there are ways to clean up an audio file... but that's an entirely different thread...

Except the front and rears are fed the same source...so maybe your rear speakers suck?

I had a similar problem on one mp3 CD where I'd get a LOUD pop at the beginning of every song, I figured out that it was because I set my burning program to leave a 0 second delay between tracks. But 0.01 seconds worked fine.

This probably doesn't matter if you don't mess with the delay between tracks.
