Default Gurgling sound and CEL caused by loose gas cap

hey I had girgling sound or bubbling sound coming from the dashboard passenger side of my civic.

When I accelerate from a stop I would hear this sound. It sounds like water girgling sound. It happened after my check engine light went on too. I used the OBD2 to try to pull he codes but got nothing. No codes but engine light comes on. I was confused. I read somewhere that the civic check engine light problem could be the the gas cap. It has to be tighten to at least three clicks.

I tried it and it WORKED!!

I reset the engine light, and the girgling or bubbling sound went away and no more engine light. It appears the civic girgling or bubbling sound was gas and it has something to do with the gas cap because it afffects the pressure and flow of the gas. I noticed after it was tighten, my civic had a tiny bit more power, and even the temperature went down by a tiny bit. It appears that when the gas cap is loose, there is less gasoline pressurized. good luck.

If you get girgling sound or bubbling sound with check engine light with NO codes, before you go replacing parts, try tightening your civic's gas cap!!!!!!!

if you have any questions email me at normanw1@yahoo.com

thanks
