Default h22 eg hatch axles problems

Ok i recently got a h22 swapped eg hatch and when i got it the axles binded really bad and i asked the dude about the half shaft and all and he said it was prelude half shaft but he didnt know much about the car. I ordered a set of h22 swap axles and the passenger one went on without a hitch, but then irealized the driver one in the kit was female. The one on the car is male, does that mean its a accord half shaft? Im not sure what direction to go for this driver axle. the one thats on it now wont go all the way in it bottoms out and still has a gap in it. So any info would be great.

It should take the axles for the tranny. Did you get axles that were specific to that transmission?

Yes, theyre h22 axles, but i was mostly wondering if this means i have a accord half shaft or if it means they sent the wrong axle.

I know on the B series, there was a half shaft used up until 1993 that had a female end for the axle to stick into. Then 1994 and on, it was male. Maybe they did the same with the H series?

well from the research i was able to gather, The accord half shaft is female requiring male axle, and the prelude is male requiring female axle

Yep your exactly right. I am running a h22 lsd in my eg hatch. I used 90-93 accord half shaft with a 90-93 integra axle on driver plugged right in. Passenger side I used a 88-89 integra axle with prelude/accord inner joint for more room. And it has innovative mounts and works great..

see mine has accord mid shaft and my integra axles wont go all the way in, i have a swap axle to, but it has a prelude joint on the inside of it, so i guess i need to find a prelude mid shaft since my axles for some reason wont go all the way in, they get to a certain point and wont go any farther even if i hammer them, (2 different integra axles )

Ok new problem, i found a prelude mid shaft, but the backets on it stick out slightly farther than the accord one preventing it from going in, but if i turn the bracket around where its away from the block the shaft will slide straight in. Is there a trick to this?

does the axles hitting the shock fork? because the motor have been move abt 1" forward.
do u have any dinding issue when turning or goin slow or too low.?
i am planning to order the IM mount and IM axles for my h22 swap..i choose to use the IM axles because in my country very hard for me to get those 90-93 accord half shaft with a 90-93 integra axle on driverside and Passenger side 88-89 integra axle....

hofefully my swap with the IM combination (mount and axles) wont give any problem. do u know any about the IM axles?

had same problem. you have an accord half shaft. the H22 half shaft has the male end on it so it will mate with the female end. what axles did you use by the way?

93 accord half shaft and 92 integra axles on both sides no swapping inner and what not. They do go in all the way i use this setup no problems what so ever. Well the passenger side i used a 94 in integra axle goes right in and clicks in and easy to get out with a pry bar.

I do not understand how the above can work, The Honda EK3 drive shafts are thinner than the Prelude H22A. Hence the EK3 D15B CVs or inner drive will not work. I upgraded the drive system to the Honda CRV, which is more robust. A little machining on the drive and everything fits.
