Nope. That WILL NOT work. Tell that guy to stop feeding you useless information. I wouldnt listen to a thing he tells you from here on out.

so that wouldnt work. Because he said his friend was told by a certified honda tuner that it would work and raise the vtech to 50% instead of 30%

He is definitely not certified and they are yanking your chain, any experienced tech/tuner will tell you that cam swap is a fallacy.
What do you mean raise the iVTEC 50% anyhow?

The cams in the 08 Si are best for that engine if you are leaving them Honda. I have tried every combo and have proven these results. You can get an aftermarket set of valve springs and a set of Drag Cartel cams if you want to swap to bigger cams.

To get more power from your engine you can swap to a Type S oil pump with less weight and drag, you can get a tuneable ECU like Kpro or AEM and get a top of the line header.

well he said that stock the vtech opens the valves at 30% and if you swap it out with the cams from a b16 engine it raises it to 50% giving you more power but i was kinda iffy about the idea. And your saying I should swap the oil pump out with one from an rsx type s? thatll increase power and performance?

well even if it did physically fit (which it doesn't), the cams would spin in the wrong direction.

Hondata is the manufacturer that puts out Kpro, I think you mean a Kpro Flash vs standard tuneable ecu. You can get a Kpro flash and that will give you a few HP but only if you have supporting mods that will benefit from a tune.

Well that's good you have an intake and cat back at least. So since you are new, I would recommend maybe a DC header, and then find a local Hondata dealer who can install and setup the Flash pro for you so you are not leaning out your car so much and getting check engine lights with all the airflow mods. You will have fun with that and be happy I am sure. If you have budget for a real good header check out advanced street performance.
