so i am in need of some help. im new to honda's and i have a 93 del sol. the exhaust that the previous owner put on was not done properly and has now fallen off causing this car to sound horrid. the tubing cracked just after the connection to the factory header. so i think i need a test pipe and the catback exhaust or would all that come as an exhaust package from greddy or buddy club or another place like those. please help with some companies that i could purchase from or if anyone has one they are trying to rid of. my email is xjcxsk8rx09x@aim.com. thanks for your time.

You should just go to a muffler shop and have them weld a flex pipe to your header and weld a 2 1/2 inch pipe with a muffler and resonator

and a flexpipe welded to the header that sounds jank as hell. so that is a definate no. id rather get a header and exhaust

 

You can get the cat back. Sounds sexy

 

Flex pipe with braided steel around it is why I think he means. And it's only sh!ty if your car is to low and it hits and rips it apart.

 

Do some research on different exhaust systems that are available. Find out what you want. Is the car an everyday driver? Do you want it to be loud, quiet etc... There's endless results available in searches on any honda site.

 

a flex pipe welded to a flange connected to the header is how 90% of cars are done now.

buy any header you want.
then call VRS get it custom made and throw in whatever resonator and muffler combo you want.
or spend 300 bucks more on some brand name exhaust that sounds like crap.
(mine costs lil over 400 including putting it on.)

or take it to a shop and have them weld it back together. not like you need it for performance reasons.
