Have a eg coupe.

Was driving my car last night and was fine. till i parked it and then later that same night i tried to start. Absolutely no power meaning no lights, no brake lights, no radio, no instrument interior lights etc. Ive checked mostly everything and cant not find a solution. Only way to start my car is if i jump start it but once i turn off the ignition ALL power goes off again.

Used a tester to test the batter voltage and it is fine 12v but when i turn my ignition its drops to 1.5-6 volts. Power shortage?

is your altenater charging the battery?

 

Check your alternator or possibly your ignition switch

 

Found out the problem.

Alternator was fine. Igntion fin3. Fuses fine

Hard to explain but my battery was dead amd trplaced it now bck tthe strrets
