Default Question about DIY Electrical Stuff

Not sure where to put this thread, but I'm guessing in the "General" area.

I am under the impression that I have to replace a wire harness in my car. The car completely died suddenly a couple of days ago, and it's been sitting in my garage for a while. When it broke down, the 4-ways didn't even go on. Also, my passenger side power locks, window and mirror don't work. Will replacing the wire harness fix these problems?

Finally, how hard is it to replace said harness? I am super limited on tools, but if I know what needs to be done I can get some resources. I have searched countless threads on many forums but no help.

Thanks in advance.

BTW: as a reference, I have a 1999 Honda Civic Si with a B18C1 swap

Does your car have power.
Is your battery holding 12v
Is your alternator working?
Do you have anything to fix your harness??

All that I am aware of is that, when the car was dropped off at the shop that I use, it wasn't turning on and so a new battery was put in. But other than that I am in the dark with everything else. I can try to find out more info but it would be posted later on tonight.

If it's in the shop don't bother posting. There's no troubleshooting that we ask you to do that you can perform.

Yeah..
And if the shop you took it too is already swapping parts for no reason id pull ur car out asap befor you get slapped with. A huge bill for probably a small issue.

Could have been something simple like the ignitor or something. Wiring is expensive.

I would try to check for a short. There may be some wires rubbing on the body or something. Or may be a pcm problem. Try to swap with a known good computer to see what happens.
Does it crank or anything??

Well, as it turned out, it was a bad battery cable. It was replaced and now runs strong. Still don't have power door locks and power window on the passenger side, but thats no big deal. I thank all who helped and offered advice.
