90 Integra K24 swap
I originally bought this car for a daily beater and eventual parts car for my 93 GSR Integra. Since the Integra needs a ton of work to get done how i want and the 200+k mile motor let go in this car, i decided to throw a K in it.
Definitely wouldn't be able to get this going without all the help from
Ben @ South Florida Autosports, Darnell , CJUiCE and my friends and family...Thanks again.

Basic setup will be...
K24 w/ RS Machines 12.5:1 pistons, stock rods
k20z3 head, cams
a2 transmission case with z3 gears/lsd
RBC w/ z1 tb
Innovative/Hybrid Racing swap mounts
K-Tuned traction bar
1000cc ID injectors
Comp Clutch stage 4
Hybrid Racing swap header
Hondata K-PRO
Tuned on E85 by HPC.DERF (Cubish)
This car must've been used and abused even before i got it, stock b18a1 bit the bullet a few weeks back.

First test fitment

About what i expected.

Wrinkle black vc is essential.

The header is too tight, even after hacking up the sub frame and rear engine mount it still hits. Finally got it all the way in and now it hits the steering rack.

Going to work on the header a bit more tomorrow, if i can't improve the fitment i'll be in the market for a new one.
....
Got a chance to mount the K-Tuned traction bar. I had it sitting in a box and never even had a chance to open it but man, what a difference between this and my old bar. I wasn't expecting it to come with the radiator supports and extra side supports that tie into the factory cross member mounting holes. My old bar didnt have the extra supports and used to loosen to the point where i eventually had to weld the bar in.
Don't mind how dirty it is, the bay will be cleaned and painted once i'm done mocking everything up.

Starting on the wiring, just going to do everything myself instead of buying an adapter harness. I have an AP1 S2000 cluster that i'll be installing as well.

Didn't take pics but i also starting messing with the brakes, installed a new 1" master cylinder/reservoir and started removing some of the lines. You have to move the prop valve when putting a K into a DA chassis so i'm going to run all new lines and tuck everything.
....
Typical DA stuff...lca bolt was seized on one side and had to cut it out. I have another set of lca's with new bushings as well as new wheel bearings.

Cut some more clearance in the sub frame. Unfortunately i have to use my current header so i made it work. I plan on going to an ASP big tube header in the future but this is what i got to work with now.

Picked up the Hush 22 hydro conversion kit...this is the Super Street version with came with all fittings, reservoir etc. Very well made kit, shipped the day i ordered it and has a clutch pedal stop built in for when i go to a twin disk...can't ask for much more than that!

Also took everything out from under the dash so i can start on my wiring.
....
Spent most of the day stripping the bay getting ready for paint. Should lay some paint on it tomorrow.

....
I laid some paint on the bay last night. Not perfect by any means but it'll do. I really love this color when it's fresh. Can't wait to eventually paint the outside.

Now to start re-assembly!
....
Put the suspension out of my old green DA on. All new bushings on the LCA's, new wheel bearings in the knuckles, brake calipers i rebuilt with new pistons/seals and new sway bar bushings.

Motors back in.

Cut up some old carbon fiber boat dash panels to make block off plates for the unused holes.

....
PARTS!

BRAKES!

SHIFTER PLATE!

[i drilled the ****in thing backwards but who cares]
CLUTCH RESERVOIR!

Should just leave it like this and tie wrap my cluster to the rear view mirror.

:fck:

....
Converting the brake lines to -3an. Also putting a -4an fitting on the return and -5an to -6an on the fuel feed. CJUiCE came through with a K Tuned fuel filter.

Suspension off my old Jasper Green Integra cleaned up a bit and installed. Now every bushing in the front suspension is new along with the hub bearings. I need to rebuild the steering rack but not this time around.

K-Tuned traction bar

Picked up a k20z1 throttlebody since the 74mm Hybrid Racing are on back order, got a K Tuned TPS and Hybrid Racing RBC adapter. Bled the clutch and connected the shifter.

Gotta thank Ben @ South Florida Autosports again...i wouldn't be able to finish this project without his help getting me parts. Also the guys at Nippon Power in Medley who are always good for keeping stuff in stock when you need it last minute (story of my life).
If you're considering something like this...buy a complete k20a2 swap first. Piecing this **** together has caused so much wasted time. Originally i had a full k20 swap when i was at HPC but ended up putting it in another car and then selling off the accessories. Now i need most of the stuff i sold and have had to drive all around the Dade/Broward area to find assorted ****. It's just an extra headache that could've been avoided. If i was installing a simple k20 swap, i'd be running already.
....
Thanks to Turbogixxer for the Tunerview Hondata adaptor. Now i can run my TunerView II with K-Pro. I have an s2k cluster that i wanna put in eventually but this will take its place for now.

[pic from my old car]

Brake lines.

Couple more things to button up before i start it.

....
I was able to get the axles in and suspension completed thanks to JayWest coming through with the half shaft. Then today i got the front end completely assembled, wired up a relay for the radiator fan, ran the wires under the fenders for the lights and reinstalled the fenders and bumper. Just cut a big square out of the webbing and the hood closed surprisingly.
Ground clearance as it sits now.

Hood closed!

Got these for my 93 GS-R but threw them on.

I really need to get the outside painted now, it looks so horrible compared to the engine bay lol. Probably get a cf hood, new fenders/bumpers, dent free doors, put my spare GS-R hatch on it and then spray it myself.
....

Threw on the filter that came with the car for now...will be running a velocity stack and filter eventually.
Only things that are really left are welding up the exhaust and putting my walbro 255 in. I dropped the tank today and it's completely full of rust. I've known that there was some rust in it since i cut open my last fuel filter but it's a lot worse than i expected. I'm letting it sit overnight with a naval jelly/water mixture to see if it will dissolve the rust enough to still use it. If not i'll have to order a new tank.
This car is just one nightmare after another. One of the previous owners did a major hack job to the wiring and i've been chasing gremlins and fixing twisted together wires.
....
Took the car to Twilight to have HPC.DERF tune it tonight. Pretty happy with the numbers considering the car has my old 2.25" exhaust, 68mm throttlebody and stock z3 cams.

Car feels good...i'm really happy with how everything has come out. I'm gonna spend the next few weeks sorting out everything and recovering financially before i go any further lol.
This is just the beginning!

Not DA K swap, DA K24 swap. It's a little taller and i was surprised the hood closed without having to space it up.
There are a few DA K swaps that inspired me...the orange rhd was out before bolt in mounts were even released.
