CRX staring issue....NEED HELP
Hi Honda-Tech, I'm new to the forum and to Honda's for that matter! (Toyota guy). Just recently purchased a 91 CRX d15b2 engine (185,000), all stock from what I can tell/know. I'm sure this topic has been covered already but any help/leads would be greatly appreciated, the problem is when starting the car hot or cold I have to push the gas pedal all the way down when turning over in order for it to start and run. The rpms jump because of the gas pedal being depressed then, once running, returns to normal idle rpms. These being non carbureted engines that doesn't make any sense to me, there is also no cel's or codes from ecu light, replaced dizzy cap/rotor, newer plugs and wires, main relay looks fine from what I can tell, seems to get plenty of fuel, also cam and crank timing seem to be right on. There is a little knocking coming from the rocker assem. would this cause the problem? There is no misfire from what I can tell, once its running it seems to run ok, not great, but ok. This 'starting issue' is driving me nuts! Thanks again in advance.
(Note: Have searched all over the net already and nothing proves helpful)

Try this, turn ign. key to run position, [not start] wait untill fuel pump stops priming, turn ign. off and then on again, cycle it on and off a few times before trying to start the engine.
If that makes no diff. check the TPS. 94

Thanks for the reply, I have already tried the on off on off with the key and fuel pump when I initially thought a fuel issue. I'm starting to think it is in my dizzy somewhere.
