Default MAIN SHAFT SENSOR QUESTION

Just pulled My bad AT trans. out of My 96 accord lx. It would only go in reverse & was whineing In all other gears.I flushed all the fluids & replaced the vss after pulling a PO715, but it didnt help. So I went to pic n pull & found one (97 lx) that I hope is still good. Anyways My question is this- does anyone know if the
main shaft sensor & the countershaft sensor are the same as each other?? Reason I ask is that I removed them both from the new trans before I actually pulled it from the car it was in, so they wouldnt get damaged. Makes sense, right
Well now I cant tell which is which . They look exactly the same & the numbers on one of them are to faded to read. I know that I should just buy two new ones, but Iam strapped & I got to get this done asap. Iam assuming they are both the same but if anyone knows for sure or different please let Me know
thanks-Dave

You don't put power to them, they are hall effects sensors. They will create a voltage output. You can check the resistance of the sensors to see if they are in spec, I think ~500Ω.
Make sure to clean off any debris and junk stuck to the magnet, and never reinstall them with the old O rings, you will need two 91309-PX4-003 O-RING (16X2.1) $1.88.

As for identifying which is which IIRC the clocking of the bolt hole is different. I think the front sensors bolt is at the 6 O'clock position and the rear one is at the 12 O'clock position. You can check this by placing the pigtails in the 12 O'clock position. For more H4A tech check out the link in my sig.
