ok i recentley picked up a 94 accord dx from my girlfriends mom with 112k original miles. the car is all stock. i replaced the radiator, hoses, thermostat, air filter, pcv valve, sparkplugs, wires, sparkplug tube seals, and valve cover gasket, and oil pan just so i wouldnt have to worry about any of that stuff or any unwanted leaks. the car runs perfect but it starts to tick around 2500rpms in every gear. so i was wondering what it could be? do i need to adjust the valves or what. the car runs and drives fine without any hesitation or problems but that ticking noise just gets on my nerves

 

"Sounds" like valve adjustment? Check the exhaust manifold for cracks as well.

When was the timing belt last changed?

 

Do a valve adjustment

 

Not sure about the timming belt bit ill prob change it soon anyways since it has 112k miles but I dont think theres any cracks on the exhaust manifold though cause it sounds like a tick from on the intake manifold side

 

i'm about to pick me up a 94' Accord LX with 136K mi. assuming all is working well as ive been told, what should i replace upgrade in the engine first. keep in mind i'm on a very limited budget.
