I wanted to know if anybody could please tell me!!!
I have a 1995 honda accord vtec motor. auto matic about 160,000 miles
I just got the oil changed on my car about 3 weeks ago and i went to go look at the oil when the car was cold and it was already down a quart of oil. There is no sign of leaking and no sign of going going into the transmission. I need advice on whats going on. I just changed the spark plugs on the car and the wires because the car seemed to be misfiring when in drive between 1800 & 2000rpms but the car is still doing it.

please write back or someone help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

 

I'd suggest two things to test/clean/replace.


When was the last time the PCV was replaced? I can only assume that there is not smoke coming out of the exhaust.

A misfire in that rpm range, when the engine is warm (does it do this when the engine is cold?)......almost a classic description of clogged egr ports-not the valve the ports. Check the FAQ for a how to.
