2000 Honda Accord Tranny
Hi, Guys I ve got a 2000 accord with 237000 miles and have some slipage in between lower gears and when its cold i can start off from a stop and go to the end of the road and when it downshifts to stop it doesn't go to first gear. I have to put it in park and then cut the car off and back on to get it to go to 1st.only when it is cold. I was wondering if there were any senors that might need to be replaced or and addivtive that can be added to help it shifting
sounds like an automatic since you didn't tell us what it is. its cheap and easy to drain and refill the ATF fluid. use Honda fluid not cheap shitty stuff for starters.
If it's a V6 model, there are 2 transmission fluid pressure switches. Changing those might help. Be sure to get the rubber o-rings for them also.
Drain and fill the transmission fluid, regardless of color.
Bout all you can do on those V6 4 speed auto's. However, if your mechanically inclined you could also tear it down and clean out the pick up tubes. Clutch pack material floats around and collects in them. There is an internal filter also, but you gotta tear down the tranny to get to it.
