I have 120k on my 08 SI sedan and about two weeks ago my steering started to feel weird like it was kinda gritty like there was some debris in my rack after checking everything out I couldn't find anything wrong but 4 days ago it finally just failed completely and my EPS light is on now and my steering is manual. I shut the car off and turn it back on and the light goes off but as soon as I turn the wheel it pops back on. I have read on 8th civic that people are having this same problem but nobody has posted a remedy other than dealer work but my car is way out of warranty any help or info would greatly be appreciated thanks Jon.

 

Did you Check all the plugs, and the fuse? Try disconnecting your battery maybe... Good luck, mine cut out for a few days and popped back on randomly
