i have a 95 integra gsr liftback and this morning i went to turn the wipers on and the passanger side worked perfectly. The drivers side lifted up about 3 inches and stopped.
It wouldnt go any higher then that no matter how many times i tried
i searched HT and couldnt come up with anything.

 

Need more info..

Does it go up 3" and stop or move up and down that 3"?
Does it "park" when you turn off the wipers, [go back down or stay up]?

It just goes up 3 inches and sits there, in order for it to go down i haveto manually push it down

 

Probably stripped a gear in the motor/gear assembly. However, the easiest thing to do is to make sure the wiper is tightened down, sometimes if the nut loosens up it has the same effect.

1) The nut is loose that holds the arm to the pivot, or
2) the splines on the pivot are stripped.

This problem has nothing to do with the motor or the linkage.
