Default 95 accord lx non-vtec; flashing d4, engine light is on

hey everyone, i just got my 95 accord running the other day after sitting for 7 mo. just replaced fuel pump. i gave it to my mom to have and she has been driving it around and she texted me last night and tonight saying that it has been running funny. she told me last night that it was shifting hard, then it went away. tonight she texted me and says that the d4 light is flashing with no pattern, and the check engine light is on, where as when i gave it to her the check engine light wasnt on. can someone point me in the right direction? i cant find the port to pull the codes. usually if the d4 light has a pattern it is showing a code, but what is it if it has no pattern.

You need to jump/short the Service Check Connector to see the pattern. The 2 pin SC connector should be located in the dash just under the glove box.

They are usually green or blue, the 96-97 is blue,

The wires that you want to short/jump are the RED and GRN/BLU wires.

Yes you use a wire or paperclip, then turn the ignition on (engine not running) and the CEL, D4, SRS, ABS or all of the above will start flashing codes.

This might help you out;

Even though the title of that thread says 96 it works for the 94-95 Accords as well.
