Default OT: SoCal guys, can anyone help out?? (JDM 4-1 header)

TO all SoCal guys,

I know most dont know who I am, and dont care, but i got a huge favor to ask those of you that have a JDM 4-1 Header. I have been searching for a JDM 4-1 header to "borrow". I once had the JDM 4-1 header and sold it for a IB modded Header. I have yet to see some dyno graphs comparing these two headers, mainly because the JG is not very popular, Many of us want to see a comparison of these two on a ITR, so the favor:

Is anyone willing to take a trip to IB to test these two headers out, lunch on me, and if it leads into dinner time..dinner on me too. Anyone interested in a "good header test" Let me know. Thanks

-Arno (flame suit zipped to the top )

To all filet mignon lovers that also have a JDM 4-1, give Arno a call

I'm anxious to see the results of this test Arno, hopefully you get someone to help you out.

comparing the great midrange of the gsr motor to that of an itr.

gsr motor gained 11-12 whp midrange, 6-7whp peak from the header.

That's not a fair comparison.

regarding that dyno graph...

i would like to see what the R motor with the aem/etc would have done with
just swapping out the JDM ITR header for the JG modded header + tuning

Uh those are two different motors with different setups. That's not how you compare things.

Hey I just noticed something, I think Jeff may have used my car for that Type R comparison when it used to have that setup. The curve and numbers are identical.

That was actually a DC JDM 4-1 but same thing pretty much. I don't have that header anymore or I'd be down for an IB comparison.

I posted up the dyno cuz it may be useful to him...just as a reference. I explained that the numbers on the chart itself compared two difference motors w/ similar mods because a lot of people miss the fact that it's a gsr/itr comparison.

That's why I said the gsr motor gained 11-12 mid range whp and 6-7whp peak, after the header was put on. That's how much the stock gsr improved. Thought he could use those numbers and compare to how much his itr improves. He can compare his dyno #s to that of the itr on the dyno chart i put up.

RK:

I appreciate your help, and the time you spent on getting this dyno from importreview. But we all no that jeff's numbers on those dyno graphs are pretty high, nothing against jeff, he is one of the top notch tuners around, but he is promoting his own product. Once again, nothing against jeff, IMHO he is one of the best tuners around

I want to see, either my car, or the NICE GENTELMAN'S CAR THAT IS GOING TO HELP OUT (hopefully ) on a dyno, 1st run with jdm 4-1 and 2nd run with JG header. Same car, 2 runs, I wanna see how they compare.

I may have some willing to help out, dont know yet, hopefully it works out, But what im going to do is try to find another place to dyno it, its rather expensive for just 2 runs at IB. Ill be on the lookout for any other places.

Actually I didn't grab that dyno from importreview. I watched him dyno the car. It's mine

Dyno high? I think IB's dyno gives very low numbers actually. Accurate but low.
