REASON FOR SALE: Time to move on
I purchased this car back in 2007 from the original owner. I waxed the hell out of it and re-painted the trim... I looked soo good, I decided that I just wanted to keep it stock. Since then it has been my daily driver. Back and forth from North Carolina to Florida a few times and never a problem. I have thought on multiple occasions to maybe paint it or even do some sort of swap, but every time I’ve talked myself out of because she is much more original in the condition than say a EF with a B16 swap or JDM front. The only thing I did was swap the stock rusted exhaust for the HKS Sports exhaust. It’s the best looking EF exhaust in my opinion other than the Mugen.
Recently, I purchased around $1500 worth of OEM 1991 Civic Si parts (1989 parts are pretty much dried up now) because I planned to paint her when I returned from deployment. Now that I’m back, I’ve lost all motivation to do so. She’s a great car in great condition for her age. Hopefully someone who appreciates EF’s will be her next owner.
ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN
Stock
HKS Sport Cat-back Exhaust
EXTERIOR
- Stock
WHEELS/BRAKES/SUSPENSION
- Stock / New OEM Brakes in 2010 / Stock
INTERIOR
Stock for the most part. Panasonic CD player and XM radio tuner installed
The original owner cut the wiring harness radio connector off and had a cd player hard wired in. I didn't realize this until I went to put in a new CD player and noticed the mess. I ended up having to cut his mess out and re-splice every wire ( very clean now)
THE GOOD:
Near stock 1989 Civic Si
Still runs strong
Interior is in great condition other than drive seat tear (very common)
Fully operational sunroof w/ no rust
Still gets around 36-37 mpg
Only rust spot is a small 2” x 2” square on the right rear quarter panel from a ding.
THE BAD:
- A/C is not working; compressor is seized. All parts are still there, but I have never really cared enough about A/C to fix it.
The car is 23 years old, so it has some minor dings and the original paint is starting to crack. One of the taillights has a 1/4 inch hole in it and the taillight center garnish is cracked.
The left tailgate upper shock mount nut is broke (is originally welded inside of tailgate frame).

for the record: you will never get back what you invested in parts. so dont kid yourself and think you will.
have you checked for rust in the hatch area or in the upper corners of the fender wells? snow=salt=rust.

The parts are BNIB and are becoming more and more rare by the day. I will more than likely get more than I paid for them eventually. Price is not a big deal to me though. If you're not interested in the car or parts, why post? This forum has really turn gay over the years. With all the rules on this forum, you'd think there would be a rules about bashing in people's threads.
