There are many write ups here and on other sites across the web. Instructions are fairly detailed. All you need are the right tools, single cam experts not required.

People keep Tellin me the diz doesn't have to be vtec just get a mpfi?? Cus z6 is just about impossible to get here it took me a long time to get a p28 an it was actually sent to me

Distributor should match the ECU, there are ways around that but if you don't know what you are doing stick to that rule.
