recently, I swapped my MX3 V6 for a '93 prelude.... after posting some pics on another forum, I was told that it could possibly be a Value sport lip kit thats on it. So I though I'd post some pics up, I know how much everyone likes pics, lol, and see what I can find out.

I have tried to find out as much as I can about VS but there is very little out there!! Anyone know anything about them? are there any replicas out there? how can I see if tell they are genuine, if they are, infact, VS?

I also have one of the in dash TV/Nav screens, but have no wires to hook it up, any info on this would be greatly appreciated. At a guess, I thought that the it would run off of the origional stereo... there are 3 ports in the unit for what looks like ribbon cables....power/ picture/ controls, perhaps?

There are alot of VS replicas out there - the only way to tell if yours is legit or not is to remove it and check on the inside of the lip for a "value sports" label inside of the fiberglass.

Basically, it will be a square paper or stamp with a layer of fiberglass overtop - more than likely faded. There would be one per piece.

Although I have seen a legit 5th gen VS front lip without a label - i believe some (not all)replicas are also made of some plastic material and not fiberglass (the legit ones are fiberglass)

as far as the tv goes... honestly not a clue

 

its a buddy club front lip and the sides look like wings west rs kit. rear looks like stock bumper with something molded to it.

 

Thanx for the quick replies. I was struggling to find a name for it! There's loads of pics and threads about them once you know the name! I've read that BC lips quite rare too, is that right? I think I'm gonna repair the crack in it tomorrow, but if it is a rare lip, I'll put in in somewhere to get fixed... They'll make a better job of it. lol.

 

yea they are pretty rare. That being said i have one as well haha.
