At some point in the past someone wrote "5.5 quarts" on the valve cover. Not sure why.

Good question. If I had to guess, it was due to a front end collision from a previous owner. However, I have no real clue. The carfax claims it was rebuilt, but the title that I have says nothing of it. It is a South Carolina title, and I'm not sure if they put the rebuilt branding on it there or not.

UPDATE: I just edited the main post with more information on the title. According to the South Carolina DMV, there is no branding of salvage or rebuilt for this car. I received the title in the mail and it is a clean title. I'm not sure why the carfax indicated otherwise, but the vin is indeed clean.

PM'd, Just extremely weird it says rebuilt on Carfax? Does it say it was in an accident when it got rebuilt or why? Do you know or have contacts with previous owner?
