Default OBD2B to OBD1 conversion

I want to convert my 00 GSR to OBD1. Ive read that all you need is the conversion harness and the OBD1 ECU. Ive also read about a resistor that may be needed to make the tach work. Does anyone know which brand harness should be just plug and play? I dont want any hassles. Just plug and play. Thanks!

IDK about the resistor either. You aren't really converting your car to OBD1, just your ECU. Buy a conversion harness and you're good to go.

for a conversion harness look to boomslang. quality is absolutely top notch and they are happy to receive your business

if you want OE quality with no issues, just get a boomslang and snap it in place

CEL for what? obd1 doesn't even look for a secondary o2 so it can't be that.

You should look at the cost on automotive TXL wire and AMP connectors.. Wire is about $.25-$.50 per foot, the female connector is around $10, the three male OBD1 connectors are about $10-$15 altogether... plus someone has to do the work

As stated earlier, the boomslang harnesses are the best on the market (and the only ones we sell)

More than likely you are running rich due to the tune on your chip, which has damaged your O2 sensor...

ya that makes since, but since the initial crank? think it would take a minute to **** it up enough to throw a code. drove maybe 3 miles to make sure it was burned right. it was a hot lap though.

Ok got this done using a virgin OBD1 P72. Started it up and it barely ran and had a really rough idle. Is this normal?
