hey im new in the honda game and i bought an 2000 em1 with an h22a4 swap, they did the swap really decent with cruise control working and a/c too, but one thing i noticed is that its still running the p2t ecu from the si, was wondering if i should get the h22 ecu or rn a chipped p28... also i would like to know what else i can do to the car.

 

Is it running badly? If not leave it alone.

 

its running ok but i know its not running to the h22's potential, and im also getting a code 54... no idea what that means.

 

If you're getting a code then it's not okay like I suspected. What else is wrong with the car? Why does it NOT have the correct ECU?

 

nothing else so far all i know is when i had it plugged in to the computer no codes came up but when i did the self check cel flashed 5 times slow and 4 times fast dont know what code is that for..

 

and i bought the car like that with that setup i havent done anything to the car just got it a week ago.

 

If there was nothing wrong. Why did you pull codes? Just curious. And why doesn't it have the correct ECU in it? Might want to call that seller up and ask if you can get it from him.

 

i pulled the codes to just check on the car. and the car came with that computer seller said thats the way he had it.

 

So you're not getting a CEL. If you clear the ECU what happens? Get the right ECU.

 

i am like i said earlier its flashing code 54. how do i clear the ecu?

 

i was gonna get the p13 but then i heard i could go to obd1 and get a p28 chip the ecu and tune it.. i dont know if that info i got was correct.. tring to see what else i can do to the car.

 

Either one would work if you don't have to worry about emissions and visual inspections.

I have no clue what "what else" even means. Do what you want.
