Default head lifting? 437hp 3076 d16

hey guys,

so i tuned a friend car on a dynapak this friday, this is the car setup:
arias 75.00 9.1
eagles
arps
OEM gasket tourqed to 100nm
garrett gt3076
aem meth kit
tuned with crome
EBAY radiator
OEM fan & shroud
oem thermostat
1.1 cap
turbo water lines go to the bottom of the rad and to the water pipe behind the block,

the car feels like a champ, it made 380hp @ 20psi and 437hp @ 26psi+meth. no dets, never pinged,
but its pushing a tiny bit of water out of the reservoir tank, after a 26psi pull,
the hoses dont feel pressurized.
we tested the cyl's with compressed air with the rad cap off and it dosnt bubble.

any ideas?

thanks

Make sure there is no air pockets whatsoever in the system, if you have done this already then do it again just for safe measure. Also was the overflow res. completely full or empty? I usually fill mine to just over the quarter full mark for expansion. You do have to remember there's a lot more heat in this system than normal.

What rpm are you running this engine too? Possibly cavitating the coolant will build pressure momentarily and air pockets could cause a slight push but the eBay radiator caps are junk too so possible rad cap not holding pressure. If the rad will accept stock cap run that if not look for a cap that will work that's brand name

My b18c pushes coolant at 400whp around redone from a crappy mishimoto radiator cap

Was each piston at bdc when you pressurized the cylinders?

It is highly unlikely the head is "lifting".
You most likely have a headgasket issue or other mechanical problem.

Make sure the customer used the factory dowel pins when mating the head to the block...

One thing you can do to rule out compression leaking into the coolant system is do go to Autozone and rent the "Block Tester". It's basically a one step chemical tester for burnt exhaust carbons in the coolant. You simply draw up some coolant into the tube and add a bid off the chemical, if it changes colors then you have a sealing issue or possible cracked sleeve. (not likely though) It would run like complete dog ****.
