Default High idle 3k RPMs

Heres the deal 96 del sol si with H22 swap manual trans. DD runing for 3 years, S300, IAB delete, EGR delete, FITV delete, only vacuum hoses are for brake booster and FPR. Just left work get up to 45 MPH turn on the cruise control and a car gets over into my lane. So I pressed the clutch in and the cruise control did not turn off and the engine stayed at 3k RPMs. So I pulled over turned the car off and unplugged the under hood control unit. Started the car its at 3k still get back to work to trouble shoot. i have removed the throttle cable from the throttle body, checked timing, checked distributer, removed cruise control box under dash. Engine is running smooth @14.6 AFR with no codes. Please help any input is appreciated.

I would have to say your block off plates for the FITV/EGR are not sealing right anymore. Check your TPS too.

Sorry for the miss information the throttle body is a omni power 70mm and it has no FITV and the coolant bypass ports are sealed. as for the EGR block off plate, I sprayed starting fluid around all seams of the intake manifold and had no idle fluctuation at all. Good tech. though thanks. keep it coming, also checked the TPS.

Damn.. I know you only have a couple vacuum lines now, but did you spray them too? I'm guessing you sprayed around the TB too? Are you throwing any codes? Check tention on the trottle cable, it may have the throttle partly open.

I'm beginning to think it is a cruise control problem, I have never really heard of it happening, but it may be keeping the throttle open as well.

Yeah i sprayed all around the TB and IM, completely disconnected the throttle cable, removed the throttle stop/ idle set screw, and removed the CC computer box. I didn't check my VSS now i'm wondering if that could be the problem. Oh and no codes.

Clean the throttle body. The throttle plate may be sticking partially open due to sticky gunk.

TB was clean also checked voltage at the TPS and the lowest i could adjust it was .8 closed and 5.3 vdc at WOT. Is that out of range and a possible cause of my problem.

The TPS is bad or the throttle plate is stuck open.

I had the intake arm of and visually checked the throttle blade. So new TPS here I come. I hope this fixes it and is not just another random issue.

You should measure input reference voltage at the TPS plug before replacing the sensor.

Ok 5.008 VDC at the yellow wire. Got a new TPS and it was way out of rang i could only adjust it to 3.6 VDC at WOT. So I put my old one back on adjusted it to .87 and 4.93 so from what I understand this is an acceptable range. Please correct me if i'm wrong. Is there a chance the TB blade is not sealing right it's a professional products 68 mm with the aluminum throttle blade. Also re sprayed the IM with starter fluid no change in idle. I'm all out of ideas again.
