Completion Clutch Super Single in a turbo B series
I tried all variants I could think of in the search engine and came back with very little information.
Anyone using the Completion Clutch Super Single in a turbo B series?
Most of what I searched rates the clutch torque holding at 45% to 50% or 450whp but doesn’t quantify what that rating is compares, let’s say a stock B18 GSR, obviously that’s would make this clutch a lot of money for its performance, I think the clutch is capable of holding more torque than this.
So anyone running the CC super single please post up your reviews, at this stage I’m only interested in this particular clutch, I have a new clutch ready to go in my car similar to the FX300 (Kevlar faced).
Once I can confirm the above I then have to ask CC if they can manufacture one for a cable transmission.
I making between 250 to 300 ft/lb

im using the comp st5 with upgraded pressure plate making between 250 and 350 wheel torque depending on my boost level. just took it out yesterday to do other work on the motor after about 3500 miles and it looks great. the pads dont have any missing material and are not glazed, though they do have a little bit of rainbowing from heat. id say im toward the upper limit of it, but still within its working range. hope that helps
Appreciate the feed back thank you,
I’ve used many variants of 6 puck clutches over the past years, they all come with a general level of compromise, this I expect with a boosted Honda, remember, I’m on a cable box so driving to the track in traffic is difficult with heavy pressure cover and aggressive plate.
I have the segmented Kevlar unit ready to install but I’m unsure it will take the abuse I will give it, this will be drag racing on 23X15 MH Slicks as well as track days as I love circuit driving too.
Someone recommended I look into the CC Super Single as it should fit the bill in terms of what I’ll be doing with the car and it comes in about the same price as I paid for the Kevlar I have.
Would be great if someone chimed in that runs a boosted Honda with this clutch, so I can make the decision.

I think these are rated to 450 torque. I know we used to make the stage 5 spin on the dyno at a little over 400 torque...upgraded or not.
Got my answer today, spoke with CC and they filled in the gaps, loos like the CC super single will do the job I want.
I spoke to the UK part of CC, they quoted 500ft/lbs,
As for drivability, not as harsh as a 6 puck but there will be a compromise as it’s a racing clutch,
I’m after a smoother engagement when I down shift on track days, especially in the wet the 6 puck grabs and unsettles the car, said this product should help reduce the problem,
Much of this will be seen when I install and put it to the test, I’m hopeful it will work as required, if not then I’ll be straight back in here to tell the story,
It may be overkill for the torque I will be making but it’s engagement that I’m really looking for and the 6 pucks do what they say on the tin so to speak but the compromise is too much for me so I’m ready to pay that little bit more to have the best solution I can find.

Wow so the super single is capable of 500ftlbs. thats a much better alternative to a 4 puck stage 5 which is very harsh on downshifts without rev matching
