tach signal wire-97 accord
does my 97 accord have a tach signal by the drivers side strut tower? i cant find one is why im asking. just wondering if i missed it or its not there. any help would be appreciated
Are you attempting to wire it for a car alarm?
You can tap into the tach signal at the cluster, I believe it's a purple wire on the left hand side (going to the tach)

I know this is an old post but I hope you can remember and help me. I am also getting error 8 (no techometer signal) when trying to remote start but When programming connection it says successful. The wire I tapped into is after the distributor (blue) and I wonder if the one I need to tap into is the purple one you mentioned.
There are a couple of blue wires to the distributor IIRC.
There will also be a 'test' wire blue with white dots that should be hanging out by the shock tower.
Tach has a Blue wire(B12) that is located in the left most connector going to the dash cluster(there are three). This wire comes from the ICM.
