Default B16A2 oil leaking

I first noticed oil on my engine right where the B16A2 is stamped then followed it up to my cam seal. So it looks like oil is leaking from my exhaust cam seal but I'm not 100% its coming from there so I was going to replace both cam seals, the valve cover gasket, and distributor gasket. is there anything else that could cause oil to leak in this area?

And what do you mean both cam seals? There's one on the side you are talking about in front of the dizzy. Then there's 2 on the timing belt side

Did you end up getting this fixed? My b16a2 has the same leak. I replaced the
O ring 30110-PA1-732
vtec solenoid gasket 36172-P08-015
and the
spool filter 15825-P08-005
and yet it still f*cking leaks. What else could it be?

These are not very expensive from Honda. You will have to take off the VTEC solenoid to remove the plug, though.

So grab some extra oil just incase, and don't forget to apply some oil to the Cam seal plug's gasket and you'll be golden.

No, I didn't replace the cam plug. Could that small plug really be the cause?

So I have to buy a cam plug AND a cam seal right? Just these two parts?
I found that people use golden eagle cam seals a lot. Aftermarket or oem?

This:

and this:

Anything else that cause the leak?

Most certainly can! It's common on these engines. I personally would prefer to go OEM for the gaskets on my cars, but to each his own.

you say it's most noticeable around the block stamp. had the same issue on my B18c1 ppl suggested the head/block may be warped wasn't the case for me. but if taking the head off isn't a big deal for you take it to a machine shop and have it checked. replace the cam seal first they're notorious for going bad. what HG are you running also ?

A leaky Distributor O-Ring will also cause a mess, and it wont hurt to replace that too since you are going to have to remove the dizzy when you replace the cam seals

I already replaced the distributor o ring and the car is complete stock.

Is my engine cracked? There's no way one little plug is causing this(please check out the pics):
http://postimg.org/gallery/mwrqe9w/

The orange is from the replacing of the O ring, vtec solenoid gasket, and the spool filter.
I can't believe it's soaked. Is the engine cracked? I've had the car for ~10 months. Is this as serious as I think it is?

Looks better than my block stamp....but i have 240 comp across all 4cyls' so im pretty sure my head or block aren't warped. looks like an oem HG(numbers on the side tab) you engine is not craked how much oil do you lose maybe hard to tell if you burn some also.

I actually don't lose too much at all. I just find oil spots on the garage floor. I think you can see in the photos.

What I don't know is if what I had replaced actually helped. The oil spots on the floor continue to look like they did before.

Should I go ahead and just replace the Cam plug 12513-P72-003? Is this the only part that I should get swapped?

not trying to be smart but you do park over a clean patch of pavemant since you replaced said items right ?

yes replace the cam seal aka the plug. that orange is where the cam seal goes....the o-ring is inside the dizzy(not vissable w/dizzy on) did you replace anything that has to do with the dizzy ?

Alright, gonna replace the cam seal next. Anything else I should replace while it's open? Gonna order the parts tonight.
Yea, had the floor cleaned well. These are fresh droplets.

The only things replaced were the
O ring inside 30110-PA1-732
vtec solenoid gasket 36172-P08-015
and the
spool filter 15825-P08-005

I haven't had the head off but idk about the previous owner. Yea, silicone.
Gonna give the engine a good cleaning to try to track where it's coming from. I'll get the cam seal replaced soon enough.
Thanks for your help, i really appreciate it.

Your Cam seals are really your last bet unless it's coming from the valve cover.

But I'd suggest changing the valve cover gasket while you have the valve cover off to replace the cam seals.

If you haven't already, I'd also inspect the rest of your engine for any further leaks. Inspect your Oil pan gasket, and also make sure your oil drain plug is in there snug.

Wouldn't hurt to make sure your Oil filter is tight as well, just to make sure there are no other places that could be leaving the oil spots on the floor.

Its the VTEC SOL. Just ran into this problem,

I replaced it with a new gasket, It was still leaking like a sid.

When you replace the gasket, run a thin stream of gasket maker on top of it and it will seal perfectly.
