Default omni struts with eibach springs?

i have omni power sport coilovers and the car is too stiff for street. i was wondering if i could put a eibach pro coil on the omni coils? to have a softer ride

You should be able to use Eibach COILOVER springs on them, but not lowering springs.

What are your spring rates?

12k front 16k or 18k rear.

stiff as a board. on a flat ground its a beast but some highways feel like a wash board.

i was about to ask a similar question. glad i looked first. not trying to thread jack i just figured it'd be kinda redundant for the top two threads to be about omni coilovers and different springs

could anyone confirm the spring rates on the omnipower street/sport coilovers vs the "race" units? how about setup recommendations?

my EF can out corner pretty much anything Ive ever been in, but the rear springs make it kinda dangerous for a daily driver. i hit a dip in the road the other day and the half gallon of washer fluid i had in the trunk flew up and smashed a dent in the headliner. im thinking if i drop the rear rates 100lbs or so at a time(i get QA1 coils for cost), i can fine tune the ride and compensate for the handling with adjustable rear sway bar links.

ideas/suggestions?

and no, im not going to swap them out for koni/gc, at least not right off the bat. my omni coilovers are brand new. been sitting in a box since 2006 lol

Neither one of you said what the car is used for. Daily with some track/autoX? You've obviously going to have to give up some performance for comfort. About half of what you have currently for starters.

Look how short your coilover springs are compared to lowering springs.

You are talking about 2 completly different types of springs, and they are not interchangeable.

No they are not. Lowering springs are absolutely too tall.

im okay with giving up some cornering ability for a safer, less bouncy ride. i just need to figure out what the spring rates are to start with, and take in some advice from more experienced people.

Some people use their daily's for other activities so saying it was a daily didn't tell me anything. Daily driving on a 350f/250r combo. Some may call it a little rough but I like my ride firmer than stock.

what spring should i buy? not spring rate but size. i see what your saying now about the size now.

also the omni coilovers are great. i drove a crx with koni eibach setup and it didnt handle near what my car does on the track or stright line. my car was setup for race only. but im going to daily drive it in nicer months. so now the springs are too much for street.

i have a 1995 civic dx sedan 2200lbs better weight distrubtion than 2 door or hatch, b18c jdm, JRSC @10psi, lsd w/ b16 trans, poly bushes, sway bars, strut bars, traction bars, street tires are dunlop direzza 205, rota circuit 8 15", have r compound 205s but not street, stiff sport omni coils with drag springs. pretty quick car in corners. should beat on cars in auto x. has full fuel setup, 70mm tb, headers stainless coated, 2.5" exhuast mangaflow muffer, exedy stage 2 clutch, act light *** flywheel, gsr brakes and rotors. i want a fun daily driver. i can always swap the coils if im going to track it on weekends. or entire coil overs.

what would you guys reccomend for me? new springs for my omni struts?

or cheap replacement strut for integra/civic with gsr coils? or eibach coils pro?
