My friend just got a 2003 Acura TL Type S and he wanted to change the headers, intake, and exhaust. I've been searching some sites and found parts for the 2002 TL Type S. Are these two years the same? Or are there any mods in the chassis, engine, etc.? Thanks.

the 6 speed is only on the CL-S

 

last i heard was that it was going to be made available on the TL-s

 

maybe for the 2004 TL-s cause it will be a newly designed car..

 

check out comptec's v6 header for accord, tl, cl

 

crank from a mdx and new rods, i/h/e will give you over 360 horses. call rick case honda or rick case acura in ft lauderdale, they've been doing them. they call it a type x

 

Yeah....all the parts for the 2002TL will fit the 2003....Ive just got done doing all my stuff for a while and it feels like a whole new car....hopefully run in the mid to high 13's next time at the track....we'll just have to wait and see

I have a 2002 TL Type S, and was thinking about doing some mods on it, I've been hearing a lot about the AEM CAI as the best ones, as opposed to INJEN and the rest. How do you like your INJEN? How much and where did you buy it? Any advice, best bang for the buck on Type S in your opinion, what made the biggest difference for you??? Thanks

 

I paid $250 for mine, but i didnt notice too much of a difference in performance, but the sound is incredible...it literally screams at VTEC. The headers are the main performers, I know a guy that can give a really good discount on the Comptech one's, but OBX also makes some that will fit your TL. Just let me know if you want to jump into anything.
