p72 pistons in b18a1
Simple answer is yes, but what are your goals? N/A? Boost? What kind of head? If you're concerned or curious about compression this can be your friend:

right now i just want to have a functional motor NA. The motor I have in it now has blown piston rings. Not real sure the extent of the internal damage. Have a 2nd b18 that I got when I purchased the car. Just had no pistons. Managed to get some p72 pistons and rods and was told that they would not work because the rods are narrower than the ls pistons.
Hush child.
P72 Pistons - sure...

P72 Rods and Pistons - No, not unless you want the piston to hit the head.
P72 Rods, Pistons, and Crank - Sure, but why would you want to destroke it?
You are better off getting some PR3/P30 pistons and calling it a day.

I give "blanket advice". Regardless, I somewhat doubt that - especially from the movie reference. It is all fine by me either way you look at it, but the rules don't allow bumping was all I was getting at. Back on topic, do you have any other technical questions?
PS - Just in case you were wondering: The LS rod is the same width on the small end as the B16/B17 as that is why I posted that picture for reference.
