Ground Controls at stock height vs stock springs?
Will Ground Control coilovers at stock height (w/future purchase of KYB AGX shocks) give me better performance/ride quality compared to stock springs (w/ stock shocks) or would the ride quality be the same? My car is a daily driver 5th gen, no auto x or anything. I have a trade on the table for my GCs in exchange for stock springs/shocks, and this trade will save me the money from buying AGX shocks. Reason my car is at stock height right now with the GCs is because I dont want to ride low anymore and I cant find my stock springs.
you cant run GC at stock height. stock springs are meant to be preloaded a lot to compensate for the weight of the car, particularly the front. when you use GC, you dont preload much, if at all, and really cant without getting much longer springs.
youll get decently high, just not stock height.
find stock springs if you want stock height.

Let me clarify, I dont need to put in the stock parts just to have stock parts or ride stock height. I wanted to see if anyone knows if a near stock ride height using GCs and KYB AGX would be better than stock spring/shocks or if there would be no difference at all.

Besides that, GC kits come with whatever spring rates you want. The spring rates have a much larger factor in "performance" and comfort than the height.
So, without knowing the exact rates you intend to use, and what exactly you're trying to get answered, no one can answer.
^this.
You could probably get fairly close to stock ride height if you get taller springs. But, you do have to be a little careful with the spring rate you choose. Too soft of a spring and incorrect spring height could cause the springs to coil bind. Even still, the ride quality isn't going to be as smooth stock because of your AGX shocks and at the very least slightly higher spring rate.

If you get the gc to be the same rates that you have on your stock springs then I soppose it would be about the same or smoother because of upgraded shocks.
