Default uneven power balance

hi, I have a b20b in an 89 honda civic dx and it seems to be missing. currently using a pm6 ecu along with the modified harness. When I did the power balance test, cylinder 2 lowered the idle much more than the rest of the cylinders (car actually turned off). also the car will only start with the ignition timing advanced all the way. could this be because I'm using the sohc ecu? anyone used pm6 with stock b20 before with success?

Get an ls ecu at least, pr4's are cheap. Also I would check your mechanical timing.

I was running pm6 and sohc when I first did my b20 swap in my ef. It went like crap, drive like crap, I actually thought I have a mess up motor. Went to junkyard, got a ls dizzy and ecu, car went sooooo perfect.

The SOHC ecu just does not have the right timing map for the DOHC. Would only recommend running the pm6 and dizzy just for emergency.

Don't worry anything like power balance, your motor run like crap thing until you get the right ecu and dizzy for it..
